Homes for Sale in Queen Anne

Queen Anne Hill is a historical neighborhood just northwest of downtown, and has some of the steepest streets and pedestrian staircases in Seattle.  It was a popular neighborhood for early rich settlers, who built their beautiful mansions on the hill with stunning views.  Queen Anne is home to almost 30 official Seattle landmarks, including many historical houses.  The city maintains 25 parks on Queen Anne, most notable is Kerry Park located on Highland Drive.  An attraction for movies and tourists, Kerry Park is also famous for local wedding pictures because of it’s jaw dropping views of the city, Elliot Bay, the Space Needle and on clear days, Mount Rainier.  Upper Queen Anne is home to long time residents, with a higher number of residential homes.  It also provides a high Walk Score because of the many restaurants, pubs, and grocery stores.  Lower Queen Anne tends to have more rentals, and a mixture of artists and students.  The base of Queen Anne is the cultural heart of Seattle, home to three major performing arts organizations, the Pacific Science Center and Space Needle, professional sport arenas, and the Frank Gehry designed Experience Music Project.  Queen Anne is the neighborhood that never gets tiresome.
