Homes for Sale in Northgate-Haller Lake, Maple Leaf, Pinehurst

In the north end of Seattle, is the informal neighborhood of Northgate, named for the Northgate Mall which was one of the first covered shopping malls in the US and opened in 1950.  A popular, and yet inexpensive neighborhood with a quick bus ride to downtown Seattle from it’s nearby park n ride centers.  Besides the mall, North Seattle Community College is located here, along with the Sheihk Idriss Mosque located in Pinehurst.  Another attraction in Pinehurst is one of the few public golf courses in Seattle, Jackson Park Golf Course.  The very north limit of Seattle, is the Haller Lake neighborhood.  Known for it’s small lake, and one of the elite schools in the city, Lakeside High School where Bill Gates and Paul Allen attended.  A hidden small neighborhood, just to the south is Maple Leaf.  A tight knit community, and walking distance to Green Lake but without the expensive home prices.  A distinct feature is the water tower, resevoir… and of course Judy Fu’s Snappy Dragon.
